Matilda: The new school year started on Thursday and with it you began a full time spot at Croileagan. From now on each and every weekday morning we walk together to Stornoway Primary School and then meet again for lunch. I've been feeling in equally full measures; sentimental, proud and excited for you.

George: Here, I was just about forgiven for putting beetroot on your plate. You were VERY unhappy with the situation. You're so funny. It's lovely to have some time with you while our big girl (who insists she is absolutely not big) is busy at school.

Joining in with Jodi's lovely 52 project.

  4. O, the tearful betrayal! I have been met with that many times at the sight of a vegetable! I love the way you caught the fall of hair and the neck in Mathilda's portrait - such an intimate moment in preparing for school! Our little ones don't start school till January, but it seems like such a big and exciting step!

  6. This is like a glimpse into the future, this will be us in about a year or so. My big girl at school and my little boy refusing vegetables - I can see it now.
