It was my birthday this week and I really have been spoiled by the lovely people, big and small,that I have in my life. Lovely times, tasty treats and super prizes for ME! Hahar. I had date nights with both Tom and my lovely friend Heather, a birthday breakfast out and lovely times wandering with my little loves. Perfect, really.

silly biscuits/making soup/George doing the washing/hand holding on a walk to the shop/Matilda's bird feeder hanging in the tree/ garlicky, spicy, prawny, tasty feasting... Thank you Tom!/a visual recipe for Matilda to follow for a tasty cake for the neighbours/so excited to give the new puppy next door the present she chose and wrapped up/she moves her flowers room to room with her, a gift from a neighbours garden... She really cherishes them.

Matilda: Gathering leaves to make a nest for a little small wee bird. We draw and we cut and we stick and we write and we have been more and more and more this week. Your drawings are amazing. Lots of tulips and mermaids and bears and rainbows.

Matilda makes a really good cardboard owl/dusty morning light through my filthy, filthy windows/she just cannot leave this kitty alone/oh give me a spoon, I want to eat that cloud/brrrum brum, toot tootle/beeswax meltying/happy at play

Matilda: That cheeky face.  So excited to get your favourite dress on for school. I love it too.

George: Oh George, little monkey TurboGeorge. You are picking up new words rapidly at the moment, it is excellent. "Goo, Mammy! Gooo! Gooo!" Yes glue. Then you pulled a piece of paper from the drawer and began to stick the screwed up flower petals you had clutched in  your clammy palm to the paper with the goo. You really do love gooing.
